LA Spanish School in Santa Monica is proud to offer Spanish classes for adults. Classes are offered at different levels and are taught by experienced language teachers. SPANISH FOR BEGINNERS A
Students will be introduced to the Spanish language through stories, songs, dialogues, role-playing, and reading. They will learn greetings, present tense, expressions, numbers, and enough vocabulary that will allow them to understand and communicate simple sentences describing people and places. Class focuses on communicative approaches.

SPANISH FOR BEGINNERS B
Students will practice Spanish through stories, songs, dialogues, role-playing, and reading. They will continue practicing the present tense and be introduced to irregular verbs, reflexive verbs, comparisons, expressions, numbers, and enough vocabulary to allow them to understand and communicate more effectively in Spanish. The class focuses on communicative approaches.

SPANISH FOR BEGINNERS C
Students will practice Spanish through stories, dialogues, reading, movies, music, and more. They will communicate using vocabulary in context, focusing on specific themes connected with grammar structures. Students will explore direct object pronouns and indirect pronouns. They will learn about past tenses and their verb conjugations. The class focuses on communicative approaches.

SPANISH FOR INTERMEDIATE A
Students continue to increase their Spanish language knowledge and conversation skills through stories, songs, dialogues, role-playing, and reading. Students will learn past tense, compound tense, expressions, and enough vocabulary to understand and participate in conversations telling stories, writing compositions, and gaining confidence when it is time to talk. Class focuses on communicative approaches.

SPANISH FOR INTERMEDIATE CONVERSATIONAL
Students will continue to gain grammar proficiency through dialogues, reading, cultural approaches, games, and more. They will be introduced to compound tenses and the subjunctive mood and practice them. Students will participate in conversations and dialogues, working in groups. Students only are allowed to speak in Spanish.

SPANISH FOR ADVANCED CONVERSATIONAL
This course is designed for students who wish to strengthen their fluency and conversational confidence in Spanish. Through dialogues, readings, cultural discussions, games, and group activities, students continue expanding their grammar and vocabulary while developing more natural communication skills. Students practice compound tenses and the subjunctive mood through conversation and real-life communication activities. Class time focuses heavily on discussion, interaction, and collaborative exercises. Students are encouraged to speak primarily in Spanish, creating an immersive environment that helps improve fluency, comprehension, and confidence.

SPANISH FOR BEGINNERS INTRODUCTION
This course is designed for students who are completely new to Spanish and would like a gentle introduction to the language before continuing into the beginner sequence. Students focus on basic vocabulary, greetings, everyday expressions, and the Spanish alphabet, with special attention to pronunciation and listening skills. Through songs, simple dialogues, guided practice, and interactive activities, students begin to recognize and produce Spanish sounds while building confidence speaking the language. The course emphasizes a supportive and communicative environment where students practice essential words and expressions that prepare them for the Spanish for Beginners A course.

SPANISH FOR INTERMEDIATE INTRODUCTION
This course serves as a bridge between the beginner and intermediate levels, helping students strengthen their grammar foundations while continuing to develop confidence in conversation. Students are introduced to compound tenses and an overview of more advanced structures, including the subjunctive mood, while expanding vocabulary and practicing more complex communication. Through dialogues, cultural themes, guided conversations, and collaborative activities, students begin building the grammatical and communicative tools necessary to continue progressing in the intermediate sequence.
