At LA Spanish Immersion School, our mission is to inspire students to strengthen their education by embracing the Spanish language as a bridge to foster cultural exchange and mutual understanding among communities, families, and children. We aim to contribute significantly to the development of future leaders.

Friendly Teachers Who Love Their Students

Our team of teachers is diverse. All of them are native speakers from different parts of Latin America and Spain. They are all professional tutors with experience at working with children and teaching them Spanish as a second language.They all show positive energy with children, parents and other teachers at all times.

Working as a team makes all the difference; acknowledging that each minute the kids are spending at our school is valuable. Our teachers are fun, creative, patient, and, of course, always looking for new strategies to communicate with children without using any English in class at all. There are 8 to 10 children per teacher. Parental volunteers are present at each class, plus two teachers or interns who come to learn about our methods and gather experience regarding the instruction of our lessons.

Teacher Diana forms a warm, trusting bond with each child, especially during the adjustment period—my daughter arrived shy and new to Spanish, and Diana and the team welcomed her with patience and care. The result was remarkable: newfound confidence, rapid language growth, and a genuine love for learning. The intimate, nurturing environment made transitions feel safe, and the bilingual foundation has prepared her beautifully for a bilingual district school in Santa Monica. The main instructor is Diana, who is exceedingly patient and good with children. She has a gift for connecting with the littlest ones. The mommy, daddy, and baby class as well as the toddler classes are filled with spanish language, play, gardening, and education. You might not think that once a week for a 1 or 2 year old would yield any measurable results, but kids that young have started singing in spanish and saying words in spanish. Our children have participated in nearly all of the programs offered by the school, and they have all benefited immensely. The week-long camps, the early learning program for toddlers, and the after-school program are all wonderful. The teachers, led by Maestra Diana, create a nurturing, loving, and safe environment where children can thrive. They not only build strong Spanish skills, but also strong social-emotional development. The school also has a very welcoming community of parents, and no previous Spanish is necessary. Here are some specific examples of the benefits that our children have experienced: They have learned to communicate confidently in Spanish. They have made new friends. They have developed a love of learning and a sense of curiosity about other cultures. They have had a lot of fun! We are so grateful for the opportunity to have our children attend LA Spanish School. It has been a truly transformative experience for them.
